Born in Mexico City, Maria developed a passion for story telling from an early age. Growing up, she’d write short films and would cast her friends in the mini production. After attending film school in Southern California, Maria worked as a director’s assistant on several TV series and films. In 2022, she co-founded Purple Cactus Productions and has directed and produced a number of projects through the company. Maria currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, and continues to write and direct projects that capture honest human moments and connection.
